Louis van Gaal has offered the free agent Victor Valdes a chance for him to fully recover from his anterior cruciate ligament injury and get fit under the supervision of the medical staff of Manchester United.
The Spanish goalkeeper Victor Valdes has been a free agent ever since his contract with Barcelona reached its end in March and now the experienced is left without any clubs and to make matters even worse, he is injured.
With this offer from Louis van Gaal, Victor Valdes is expected to complete his recovery at a faster pace as he will have all the help from the medical staff and facilities of Manchester United until he gets fully recovered.
A club statement read: “Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has offered the 32-year-old former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes a chance to complete his rehabilitation from a knee injury and to work his way back to fitness with the club. Valdes, a free agent, will have his recovery supervised by the United medical staff before training with the first team, as he bids to regain full fitness.”
It is rumored that Liverpool is interested in signing Victor Valdes as soon as he finishes his recovery and is able to perform in a match. A move to Liverpool would be the best option for Valdes as that’s a club that can match his wages and salary.
Manchester United or Louis van Gaal are not expected to offer Valdes a contract and turn him into a player of the club in itself as the Premier League club already have David de Gea, the Spanish goalkeeper is considered to be one of the best players in his position and he is already being labeled to be the successor of Iker Casillas for Spain even though de Gea is only 23 years old.
