MKHITARYAN TO MAN UTD FOR £30M?

German football league giant, Borussia Dortmund are willing to sell Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Manchester United for £30.8million, according to latest reports.

Manchester United and Arsenal have been asking about procuring the services of the play maker even though the Bundesliga club expressed their desire to keep the Armenian playmaker at the club until the end of the season. Hence, the club set a release clause for the player. United bid for £19m but Borrusia Dortmund promptly rejected it.

Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke was adamant that Mkhitaryan would stay but the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, confirmed he would still push for a move to Old Trafford this summer.

According to reports now from Di Marzio, the Germans would sell for £30.8m. they are believed to be set to offload the player as he seems interested in the move, since their best efforts at retaining him was failing. The club is reported to have quickly set up a shortlist of players to replace him with Chelsea attacker Andre Schurrle on top.

The Red Devils are reported to have lined up a backup in case the deal does not go through. The top contender is now Julian Draxler. Jose Mourinho has been impressed by the 22-year old, especially his performance for club and country. TransferMarketWeb reports that The Red Devils have even submitted cash offer to Wolfsburg to land the talented player.

Draxler has a current deal running till 2020 after joining the club last summer. With Draxler’s teammate Andre Schurrle also linked away from the club, Wolfburg sporting director, Klaus Allofs insists that the players would not be leaving Germany this summer. He mentioned that the club is planning to make a return to Europe in the coming season using both players.
