The Red Devils are reported to have lined up a backup in case the deal does not go through. The top contender is now Julian Draxler. Jose Mourinho has been impressed by the 22-year old, especially his performance for club and country. TransferMarketWeb reports that The Red Devils have even submitted cash offer to Wolfsburg to land the talented player.

Draxler has a current deal running till 2020 after joining the club last summer. With Draxler’s teammate Andre Schurrle also linked away from the club, Wolfburg sporting director, Klaus Allofs insists that the players would not be leaving Germany this summer. He mentioned that the club is planning to make a return to Europe in the coming season using both players.
