Manchester United is privately sure to sign Leicester star Harry Maguire when the transfer window will reopen in January. Manchester United is watching January transfers after Jose Mourinho has not landed his favorite goal back in the summer. Red Devils boss was keen to secure the services of a new center back due to private doubts about the skills of Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Eric Bailly, and Victor Lindelof.

They have already sent 17 goals this season and lost three matches against Tottenham, Brighton and West Ham in the process. Lindelof and Smalling seem to be Mourinho’s preferred center-back axis at the moment, but both still have their mistakes. Maguire has meanwhile helped Leicester to four wins from their first 10 excursions.
He recently signed a new contract at the King Power Stadium, which secured a pay rise in the process. But the evening standard says United is optimistic because of Maguire’s desire to play the Champions League football. The red devils, most seasons, can offer it and the British board usually plans to be in the mix for Europe’s top-tier competition
Mourinho, in the meantime, admitted recently that United was not up to the standards he expects. “We are not as solid as I liked,” he said. “We are not as rocky as I would like, we do not have the instincts (killer) that I would like.” United is next in the plan of action opposite against Bournemouth on Saturday.
