Camavinga is a brave and elegant box-to-box midfielder who has been likened to Pogba in recent months. He started gaining media attention at the beginning of last season after showcasing some sublime footballing genius and form for his club. He is still below 22 years of age and has been earmarked to become the new Pogba, with United keen to sign the youngster in case they lose French midfielder Pogba in the summer or anytime soon.

Pogba has been linked with a departure from Old Trafford in recent months and having not yet signed a new contract extension with the Red Devils, anything can happen – which is what United want to prepare for so as not to be caught off guard. Rennes president on Monday announced that they have not received any offer yet from any club for Camavinga and states also that they will try to convince the player to sign a new contract this summer.

The president also added that even if the player does not put pen to paper on a new contract, they would try to discuss with him and ensure that he is not allowed to leave for nothing. Paris Saint-Germain have once been quoted to be interested in signing the midfielder but they could be priced out of a move for the French star if United confirm that Pogba will no longer be a Red Devil ahead of next season.
