Henry unlikely to haunt United

Thierry Henry has undoubtedly been one of the best players in the Premier Leagues history, but thankfully for United, it looks like the Frenchman may not feature against the English champions this Sunday evening.

Henry who is currently on loan from the New York Red Bulls, is facing the possibility of a late fitness test on a troublesome calf problem, which at the moment is seemingly ruling him out of the fixture.

So many times Thierry has been at the centre of United’s undoing when the sides meet, with my memory quickly being dragged to one match in particular when United threw away a 1-0 lead at the Emirates to a late, late Henry winner.

As for United however, the squad is looking a bit better than in recent weeks. Vidic and Fletcher aside, only Welbeck, Owen, Cleverley and Young are the names eager to return to fitness.

Good thing that Henry is a doubt? It’s hard to weigh up I feel. Van Persie and Henry on the same pitch could be a huge threat, but has Henry got the ability to play at the very highest level?
